Double Life pt 2.

Where we left off:  James has been born, things are beginning to go downhill for the threesome as their adulthood leaves scars, challenges and changes for all of the Evans brood.

Lara (and Julie) is quickly realising that she is nothing more than a mediocre child with limited social skills.  She is possibly becoming a social outcast – maybe she’ll follow in her father’s steps and join the criminal underbelly? Its not a life that Hunter wanted for any of his children, but can you really fight your genetics. Its times like this that Hunter wished his girls were raised together …

Meanwhile Emily is turning into a Straight A Student – in Primary School at least – and while she has no extra-curricular activities, she is in charge of her baby brother from time to time.  She is befriending a boy form school Emiliano Jung, a kid in her grade.  At the moment they do everything together, becoming the best of friends.  

James is toddling along.  He is becoming an independent toddler, who rarely needs anything from his caring mother, Charlotte.  Charlotte is determined to see her children succeed, as she has done.  She is a talent for sure, but her greatest passion is her children – having created several masterpieces and a slightly shiny star, she is content to raise her family.  

As time moves on and priorities change – Charlotte and Hunter fall back into them once-in-a-moon-ways her kids are the most important thing to her and she did most of it alone anyway. She is content to live her life as a mistress. If that ever changes, is there anything really stopping her? 

Hunter is at a loss in regards to his family.  He doesn’t know where he should be since both his families are growing up with out him around.  Maybe it’s truly time to commit to one? The question is which one? 

It seems that Charlottes dissociation with him is answering his question. Even she isn’t sure where it came from but maybe she is tired of playing mistress. Her kids are unaffected at the moment but what happens later? 

Things get worse for Charlotte and Hunter – as they begin to resent each other.  I mean is it fair to critic her intimate abilities when he has been her only lover for so long?  Perhaps an actual day out might make things better?  It didn’t.  The outing was a disaster – the venue empty of anyone, and Hunter clearly thinking that this solved their problems.  Charlotte left unsatisfied and disheartened.  It thinking time. 

Hunter, went home to Lara – for the first time in weeks to find mother and daughter fighting but Lara as flirty as ever.  Hunter needing to feel normal – carried on. Julie was disgusted and embarrassed by her parent’s behaviour, scoffed at both of them and went about jeering at strangers.  

When she allowed herself to be complimented by a co-worker, Charlotte realised that she had put her happiness on hold for Hunter and decided that maybe it was time to move on.  With that decided Charlotte ended things with Hunter.  It was sad – mostly for the kids, but they would be better for its Charlotte was sure.  

Hunter was enraged.  He stomped off home to let off some frustrations, but at the moment he was too angry to even entertain Lara and her libido.  So he instead focused his anger on the gym – but not without damaging his relationship with Julie further.

Double Life Challenge (backstory and catch-up)

Soooooo..... I really did suck at this. But I have a new drive. I am a simmer - casual - and quite easily get bored of the game because lets face it, unlesss you blog or stream you tend to build the house play the game for a bit and get semi invested but ... your life gets in the way.  

But ... Since I don't yet have any sort of drive (or skill or the anything) to post my game play or the consent swearing on you tube I decided to post it here instead. This is purely for my own entertainment and well we will see where we go from there. 

I decided to play the Double Life Legacy Challenge .... but modified slightly because I had my own sort of story in mind for them - but the challenge is similar in regards to the fact that my Sim Fonder has two families. 

I should note as well, for the sake of honesty I now play with MC Command Centre (and Wicked Whims so nudity is well there) so I can play on the same lot.    

So lets begin..... 



Deep in Willow Creek Suburbs a wannabe Body Builder and Criminal Hunter Evans, lived with his wife Lara Chen a programmer.  They lived happily neither unsatisfied with their married life, both were young and in love. Lara, happy to have the unit to herself as her husband travelled for his job. 

Night at the Museum-Hunter&Charlotte

While away in Del Sol Valley for a competition, read: job, he met a young art student Charlotte Duncan. The pair were instantly attracted to one another and after a few drinks the pair found themselves in an intimate entanglement. The pair - unbeknownst to either of them were married - parted ways in the middle of the night.  

Hunter returned home with nothing but a hazy memory of a good time with a blonde, resolved to put it behind him. Lara was happy to see him return and the pair resumed their life. 

A month passed for Charlotte as she continued her studies, her thoughts still on the strapping young man, that she had inadvertently married - she had noticed the ring glinting off her finger as she woke that fateful night. She wondered if she would ever see him again, reliving those nights as she soaked in her bath at night.  One night as she went out with her cohorts she contracted what she thought was food poisoning. She thought nothing of it until period didn't come. She went to the pharmacy and bought a pregnancy test. It was positive. Knowing that it would complicate her plans she decided to keep it, and put several plans in motion. Re-organise her studies, find a bigger place and try and track down her one-time lover.    

Months went by, Del Sol Valley barely even a memory, when Lara began to feel unwell, she was very tired and very emotional - not like her.  After a trip to the store she found out that she was pregnant.  This wasn't a happy revelation for her, she was young and married her husband to get out of her parents house - and for the sex -  it wasn't part of the plan. She wasn't even sure if she wanted children - they hadn't talked about it. When Hunter heard the new though he was over the moon and she decided that she could do this for him. Just once.  

That very same week, as she left for work - her husband still sleeping from his night shift - she met the new neighbour:  Charlotte Duncan. The somewhat pregnant Charlotte Duncan. Lara ignored her and went on with her day, she knew that she and the woman wouldn't get along as soon as she saw the easel unload.

Charlotte was on a high because she knew that her life would be alright: her baby was healthy, she was able to finish her studies at the local museum and she had found the cutest little duplex in the safe suburbs of Willow Creek. The only thing that would make it better would be knowing where her babies father was. 

Later that day Hunter emerged from his house to collect his mail. He all but tripped over her as she sat on the lawn watching the clouds.  The reunion couldn't have gone worse with shock, anger and disbelief coating the interaction.  Charlotte retreated inside, hurt and emotional, and channelled her emotions into her art. It was her first Masterpiece. 

After spending the day in a rage and nearly getting himself arrested, Hunter began to seriously worry. With the information verified, Charlotte could do some serious damage if she ever said anything ...  

Emily - Toddler

The months went on, winter came and so did Charlotte due date.  She was a little bitter about the situation. Knowing that she had o live next door to her faux ex-husband and his wife.  She took pleasure in knowing that her sperm donor's wife was having a far worse pregnancy than her - the thin walls working allowing her to hear the massive fights were there used to be other noises... 

She was alone though, when the cramps began. On her way out she ran into Hunter coming back from a jog. She brushed him off until a contraction made her double over in pain. He rushed her to the hospital ignoring her protests, his child was born on the way, a beautiful girl Emily Duncan. Hunter lost hiimself in the moment, pulling Charlotte into a passionate kiss as they waited for the EMT's. He pulled away suddenly remembering himself and apologised, and if their kiss lingered on his lips no one had to know. 

Julie - Toddler

As Winter ended the Duplex was tense.  Charlotte and Emily were tired but had a good routine, even if it meant that Charlotte saw Hunter leave and return form work every day. Lara was DONE with being pregnant, she was over everything about it.  She was beginning to realise this was a huge error on her part and knew it wasn't going to happen again. Hunter was stressed. He was constantly on edge, the urge to help Charlotte warring with the vows he gave to his wife.  

It was this distraction that led to him being in Charlotte''s bathroom after a rough night.  He hadn't been careful and managed to get himself stabbed. It was chance that he made it home at all, almost passing out on the steps.  She sighed as she opened her door to him, gestured for him to come inside. She patched him up and listened, as he explained that he was a criminal blah blah.  She responded that she didn't care that he was a criminal, again the pair kissed the passion simmering.  She told him that she didn't care about his wife either or that it was probably a bad idea.  Before Hunter could respond Charlotte had began to re-acquaint herself with him.  

It was the first night the baby slept through and the first of many late night trysts. 

That spring Lara gave birth to a baby girl: Julie.  Hunter was more invested than Lara, but was often distracted by work or Charlotte.  

Emily - Child

As and the baby settled Lara recovered she demanded more of Hunter romantically.  The two resumed their sex life, with Lara surprising him in the home gym and in the shower. While still satisfying Lara, didn't excite him as much as she used to. Sure he loved her and they got along great (and she was good in bed to), but his lover just did more for him.  They couldn't keep their hands off each other and often ended up in the restroom or lockers tearing at each others clothes. 

Years went by, the dynamic perfectly balanced. Charlotte was mostly happy with her life - she had a great job, a good kid and a lover that always pleased her.  Hunter had the best of both worlds: a wife that was his best friend with, a hot sensual lover on the side who would do anything, and two beautiful children. Lara was content with her husband, the spark had cooled but he was a great fuck when she needed more then her fingers, had an investor and was the most in demand programmer in Willow Creek. 

Julie -Child

That is until a SNAFU with birth control ended with Charlotte pregnant again.  

Lara began to notice that her husband was a away a great deal more than usual, not that it bothered her particularly she enjoyed the space, but their daughter had began to notice and was beginning to get on Lara's nerves.  

James Duncan-Evans

Charlotte was enjoying the extra time with Hunter but was worried about the delicate balance had been upended since Emily and Julie were now both in school. It worried her that they were becoming friends (because she knew who Julie wasn't just the neighbours daughter who caught the bus with her). 

But James was perfect - both his parents thought so.  It would remain to be seen if things would change or remain the same.

Ok..... The one after the really really long absence

Okay.

I'd say sorry but at this point I'd be just lying.  I absolutely suck at this. But I need to talk about everyone's current obsession: Thirteen Reasons Why.

And before we begin, I'm not a mental health professional and all opinions stated about the show are my own musings and not meant to be offensive or non-factual in anyway.  

Now I haven't read the book, though I am an avid reader, but the series has caused quite a stir.  I'm not going to say watch it or don't, that's your choice. But please don't let children under the age of 15 watch it. I'm a huge fan of ratings and it's rated that way for a reason.  I might also suggest if you are a parent and on the fence - maybe watch it with your teenagers so you can answer any questions.

But lets get to why I came here - 2 episodes from the finish line - those heart breaking moments when Clay thinks that he killed Hannah by doing what she asked him to.  It's probably clear to people who have been distraught and depressed, that often times (as its different for everyone), that the person you scream at, that you push away, is the one person you don't want to leave you.

This is for people that listen and leave us alone: You did the right thing. It's a fault that you left us alone when we asked you too. Its not your fault.  Just like its not Clays fault. Its not even the bullies fault and yes despite not having seen it - its not Bryce's fault either (though he is a grade A dick and Criminal).

I have stoically watched the series, probably thinking what was Clay's deal.  What did he do to deserve his place in Hannah's List. Personally I was devastated that his only crime seems to be being a decent, shy guy, who was honestly confused about what he was supposed to do. And I don't blame him. I don't know what I'd do with me on a bad day either.

Anyway - Just needed to get that out. After my 5mintue ugly cry.  I'm going to go and finish the rest of the episodes now and hope to god Bryce gets his due.

The one after the long absence

Okay - I told you id be bad at this!!!


I also have ditched the immortal sims challenge.  I was absent from it too long and well I forgot were I was going with it.

I decided though that I would challenge myself to a) create a generation of Sims (to earn the Generation trophy), b) see how long i can keep my original Sim alive using the cow plant (and sacrificing children and/or their spouses (or her lovers), c) experiment with how far removed from her her descendants need to be for her to be able to flirt with them and lastly d) see her have a romantic relationship with all her children's romantic partners.

For my own well-being I will probably only have 3-4 sims in the house for my own sanity (since i had trouble controlling the sisters). '

I will upload pictures tomorrow or Sunday (25.6.16 - 26.5.16 AEST).

The Begining of the Sims Four Immortal Sims Challange.

Here is the link once again for the the challenge (As I most definitely do not have the chops to write one of my own).

So these are my sisters - keeping in the theme of things they are named, quite unoriginal I might add,  after something pertaining to the element.

My fire sister and baby maker: Flame  Sprite

I did make one change (I actually made a few but I'll address them as they come up).  I replaced the hates children trait with non-committal. I figured I could get more form her with that trait and it'll make it easier and more rewarding for her to go out on the prowl.

 Her apartment has a fireplace and a bar just like the challenge asked for, but because I LIKE luxury (and in the Sims 4 the Sims are  already way to hard to keep happy as is) I gave them a lot of extra pretty things. I kept to the Reds and blacks reminiscent of fire, because it helps me to keep track of whose who.

Next up is the water sister and housekeeper: Wave.

She is, as stated by the challenge, the one in charge of the cooking, cleaning, maintenance and the child rearing.  Her traits and aspirations are as stated by the challenge.

 For her outfit I chose the floral dress and flat shoes.  I felt that makes her look somewhat like a mother figure/child minder. I also opted to have a short hair cut figuring that with all the cooking cleaning and running around she would loathe the long hair (having recently chopped mine off because of little hands pulling at it all the time I can relate).

Her section of the house also meets the requirements for the most part. Like I said I make them pretty for the mood boost I added a TV to aid her in the learning to cook department of her designated chores.  I also kept it very blue for the water.

 Now for the smart, logical, creative I-will-probably-bring-in-all-the-money-with-my-skills air sister, Wind.

For her I channelled every nerd geek cliché i could think of (sticking as much as possible to a white/blue colour scheme).  Her hair is custom content from either Mod the Sims or The Sims Resource (I have no clue which one it was now - but just know its not mine or from any of the sims games).

Her section of the house is probably the biggest and most expensive (science costs way too much).  It has a white theme as well.  I dont know if its allowed but, I did it anyway, she has all the big sciencey equipment including the rocket.  Cow plants are very hard to find, and the rocket is one of the only ways to get it.
I she has the computer as well and an easel and all that jazz.  

And the final sister Flower.

She is my favourite - not sure why - but I really do love her the best.  In the couple of hours that I have played the sisters, her and Flame are the ones I play the most. Its probably because at this stage - and because of their particular traits - they are the two that I require the most at the moment.  (Flame for the babies.relationships and Flower for the resources and the cow plant seeds - through grafting or fishing). 
Her look is very athletic - hair pulled back boots rather than the heels that Flame wears and very practical jeans.  She is exactly like the rules stipulate I chose a free lance botanist aspiration (since it focuses mostly on her garden).  Like I said she is the one that I am most enjoying. Probably because I haven't really focused much on collecting or gardening while playing the Sims before.      

For her area its mostly green. There is also a LOT of trees.greenery.  Her room is pretty much all windows (mostly because I wasn't sure she would sleep if she was out side). She has a treadmill, workout machine, boxing bag and mediation stuff.  Okay - this is an obvious deviation because the wellness skill wasn't listed in the rules, I made a judgement call and put them for her (even though it focuses her rather than energises) it just struck me as a earth loving, active persons pursuit.  ALTHOUGH, I think I could make it something for all of them to do - but we will see.  And yes the pool is an obvious luxury item but its a very good way for her to build her fitness and have fun so I am keeping it.


I have choose to put the whole 'populate the town' goal on hold for the moment. As I mentioned this Sims is probably the hardest version to make friends and actually acquiring one cow plant is difficult enough, but having to acquire four will take a bit. It is also a useful tool to get my Fire sim in a good social position to - well lets say, seduce - the male population in a less time consuming manner.  As of the moment I am trying to avoid completing Flames aspiration because I don't think that there is an alternative to hers (or Waves). 

So that's my set up for the challenge. There is an exterior shot of my Sims home (Not in the gallery but I can/will/probably put it in a later date). My family is in the gallery.  Hopefully there will be more news in the next week.

The First.......

Hi,

I started this blog in an attempt to entertain myself. Seriously.  And maybe my friends and family - if they happen across it and the Sims 4 community. Since that is why I started this.

I am an avid Sims player have been for years. And since I hate the sound of my voice on tape or video (and I have NO IDEA how I would capture game play and entertain the masses listening) i have opted for this medium.  I will not be discussing anything about me - no bitchy rants about how sucky my life is - the only thing that is really life is my name, because I didn't have the hindsight to change it.    

There may also be the odd TV, Book or movie rant (but I probably wont set out to do that.)

I have never done a Sims Challenge but have chosen to do the Four Immortal Sisters.You can read the rules and such there.  I will post all the details when I do them. With pictures.

Don't be too harsh on me.  Ask me anything and hopefully I wont forget about this like I did the last time I tried.
